Before you begin
Can I use Kana Pro for free?
Yes. Kana Pro is free to use, and creating an account is optional. Premium is an optional one-time purchase that removes the limitations from the last few stages, but you can learn both hiragana and katakana without it.
Should I learn hiragana or katakana first?
Hiragana is a useful starting point for reading Japanese. Katakana is often used for loanwords and names. You can practice either script on its own or combine both in Kana Pro. It's more common to start with hiragana. Learn katakana as well, before moving on to kanji.
Can I use Premium on more than one device?
Yes. Link your Premium purchase to your account to use it across your devices and platforms.
